Purchased by the Forman family in the summer of 1982, Pick-Up Pals, Inc. has now been around for over forty years; during this time, we have grown immensely and expanded our reach far beyond West Texas. We started as a small retail truck accessory store in a two-stall filling station on the corner of Broadway and Avenue Q and quick growth allowed us the opportunity to move our store to what is now our current truck accessory & light commercial upfit store—6810 Wayne Avenue. Howell Forman, Jr. and his son Trip’s decision to purchase this small accessory store paired with their determination and hard work has led us to becoming the largest wholesale and truck accessory store in West Texas, and we are proud to continue offering quality services and products at fair prices.
In the early 1990s, Pick-Up Pals, Inc. made a decision that would alter the face of our business—we partnered with Weather Guard and Knapheide and began offering work truck product lines. The partnerships we created allowed for a larger customer base and broadened our ability to serve the needs of West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. This was a huge step that led us right into the next chapter of Pick-Up Pals, Inc.
After his father’s retirement, Trip took over the business in its entirety and finally accomplished his lifelong goal of custom manufacturing. In 2005, Pick-Up Pals, Inc. began engineering our own line of custom Pup truck beds—allowing our business and its customer base to grow exponentially. Today, we are proud to say that we have developed into one of the largest roustabout and related equipment manufacturers and distributors in West Texas. We are forever grateful for our hardworking employees and our ever-loyal customer base.
